Foreign Office files for China now available

Foreign Office files for China, 1919-1980 is now available to all University of Sheffield staff and students. This resource, published in six parts, makes available the complete British Foreign Office files dealing with China, Hong Kong and Taiwan between 1919 and 1980. These formerly restricted British government documents, including diplomatic despatches, letters, newspaper cuttings, maps, reports of court cases, biographies of leading personalities, and summaries of events, provide detail on almost a century of constant change in Chinese history.
