Research Data Management EPSRC drop-in session

Our University's Research Data Management Coordinator, Laurian Williamson will be holding a drop-in session for those members of the University that are funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
She will be able to answer your questions about research data and advise about:

• compliance with EPSRC requirements
• securely storing and backing up data
• data management planning tools
• subject and disciplinary repositories
• legal and ethical issues

The session will be held at St. George's Library (Mappin Street) on Tuesday 1 July between 12 - 2pm.

Library Faculty Newsletters

Every few months, our Faculty Liaison Librarians produce newsletters highlighting our latest acquisitions, training sessions and guidance specifically aimed at the departments within their Faculty.  These newsletters can be accessed via the Learning & Research Services Team web page or on their blogs.

Summer Vacation Loans

Vacation loans begin at 9am on the 9 June

Normal loan to Staff, NHS & Postgraduate Research students:

Issued or renewed between 9 June & 5 September will be issued until 3 October (unless requested by someone else)

 

Normal loan to part-time Postgraduate Taught and Undergraduate students:

 

Issued or renewed between 9 June & 19 September will be issued until 3 October (unless requested by someone else)

 

Normal loan to full-time Postgraduate Taught and Undergraduate students:

 

Issued or renewed between 9 June & 26 September will be issued until 3 October (unless requested by someone else)

 

Loans already requested by someone else:

 

Issued from 12 June will become a 2 week loan or issued until 29 September (whichever is shorter)

 

 

Please note:

• The loan period for external borrowers will remain at one week throughout the vacation
• Performance material (8 week loan) is not affected
• A normal loan item may be recalled by the library if someone else requests it. Recalled items must be returned within 15 days of the recall
• Charges may apply on overdue loans so please ensure that borrower accounts are kept up to date
