IC in The Diamond
Professor
Mike Hounslow, Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Engineering at
the University of Sheffield, was today joined by
Sheffield Central MP Paul Blomfield on the roof of The Diamond building
to perform the official topping out ceremony to mark progress on the £81
million development.
The University Library is proud to be designing and providing services for The Diamond. With nearly 1,000 innovative study spaces we continue to invest in Sheffield student learning, building on our experiences with the world-leading Information Commons, which opened its doors in 2007.
The unique nature of The Diamond will offer staff and students the opportunity to move between formal and informal learning situations in new and exciting ways. As well as supporting an expanding digital collection there will also be a core print reference collection and a dynamic on-demand loanable collection
